KAUST Research Conference on Environmental Epigenetics 2017

KAUST Research Conference on Environmental Epigenetics 2017

We are pleased to announce the first KAUST Research Conference on Environmental Epigenetics. The event will be held on February 12-15, 2017 at KAUST (King Abdullah University of Science and Technology) campus, situated on the stunning Red Sea coast of Saudi Arabia. This event marks a strategic partnership between the Center for Epigenetics and Metabolism (CEM) of the University of California, Irvine (UCI, http://www.som.uci.edu/cem/),and the KAUST Environmental Epigenetics Program (KEEP, http://keep.kaust.edu.sa/) aimed at advancing fundamental knowledge the field of Epigenetics.
The program of the meeting will cover most key topics in Epigenetics and in particular the fundamental mechanisms that control Genome and Environment interaction mediated by the Epigenome and how these matter for the comprehension of cell identity, memory, plasticity, adaptation and reprogramming.

 Sessions include:
-Epigenome in Adaptation and Populations
-Epigenetic Inheritance
-Nutrition and Metabolism
-Genome and Epigenome in Cell Identity and Evolution
-Tissue Regeneration and Cell Reprogramming.
The structure of the Symposium will comprise lectures, selected short talks, poster sessions as well as interactive activities involving speakers and all young participants.

Participants, primarily MS/PhD Students and Postdocs, will be selected upon abstracts and short CV submission. Scope of the meeting is also to offer the opportunity to discover KAUST, its multicultural atmosphere and the natural beauties of this part of the world.
Applications from female researchers are strongly encouraged.
No registration fee required. Registration dead line is on October 10, 2016.

We look forward to welcoming you to KAUST !
